Content Policy
Last updated
Draft, pending legal review (October 16, 2026).
This policy applies to everything published or stored on Statewide: public community pages, applications, profiles, roleplay records and anything else members and staff add. Each section below matches a reason on the Report abuse form, so reporters and moderators use the same words. Roleplay is fiction; this policy is about what real people do to real people.
Spam
No unsolicited advertising, scams, phishing, link farms, or mass-created communities, accounts or pages. A community may promote itself on its own pages.
Harassment
No harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeting anyone for who they are. No doxxing: never publish another person's real name, address, photos or other personal data without their consent, even framed as roleplay.
Illegal content
Nothing illegal where it is published, including sexual content involving minors, content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, and content that promotes real violence. We report sexual content involving minors to the authorities.
Impersonation
Do not pretend to be another person, community, brand or Statewide itself, including copying another community's name or branding to mislead its members. Roleplay characters are fine as long as no one is misled about who is behind them.
Other harmful content
Anything else that puts people at real risk: malware, links to malicious downloads, attempts to break or abuse the platform, or sexual content on public pages.
Reporting content
Use the Report abuse link on every community page, or email abuse@statewide.gg with the page address and what is wrong. Reports go to Statewide's platform moderators, not to the community's staff.
Takedowns
When content breaks this policy, moderators can remove it, take a community's public pages down, suspend the community, or ban the accounts involved. A community whose public pages are taken down sees a notice that names this policy. To send a takedown notice, including a copyright notice, email abuse@statewide.gg with the address of the content, what it infringes or breaks, and how to reach you.
Appeals
If you think a takedown, suspension or ban was a mistake, email abuse@statewide.gg from the address on your account, with the community or page involved and why it should be restored. A moderator who did not make the original decision reviews it, and we reply by email.
