Terms of Service
Last updated
Draft, pending legal review (October 16, 2026).
These terms cover your use of Statewide: the website at statewide.gg, the application at app.statewide.gg, the API at api.statewide.gg, the Discord bot, the game server resource, and community sites served by Statewide on their own domains. By signing in you accept these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Content Policy.
Who runs what
Statewide Software runs the platform. Each community on Statewide is run by its own owner and staff, who decide who joins, what roles members hold, and what their community publishes. Statewide does not run any community, its game servers or its Discord server, and is not a party to a community's own rules.
Your account
You sign in with Discord, or with an email address and password. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to use Discord where you live.
Using Statewide
Statewide is for running roleplay communities: computer-aided dispatch, records, rosters, applications and public community pages. Records, characters, licenses, warrants and calls on Statewide are fictional and exist only inside a community's roleplay. Do not enter real people's personal information as roleplay records.
You may not:
- break the Content Policy, or use Statewide to break the law;
- try to reach data that is not yours, or test the platform's security outside our security policy;
- overload, scrape or disrupt the service, or get around rate limits, bans or takedowns;
- resell or rebrand Statewide as your own service.
Your content
Content you or your community add to Statewide stays yours. You give Statewide permission to store it, show it to the people your community allows, and make the copies needed to run the service. Public community pages are visible to anyone on the internet.
Enforcement
We may remove content, take down a community's public pages, suspend a community, or ban an account that breaks these terms or the Content Policy. Community staff can also remove members from their own community. How takedowns and appeals work is set out in the Content Policy.
Price and changes
Statewide is free today. We may add paid features later; anything you use for free now will not start costing you without notice. We change and improve the service over time, and we may update these terms. When a change matters, we update the date at the top of this page before it takes effect.
No warranty
Statewide is provided as is. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Statewide Software is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what communities and their members do on the platform.
